The location of the pool is often underestimated. In order for a pool to be as energy-efficient as possible, two conditions must be met: it must be exposed to the sun's rays for as long as possible and it must be protected from the wind. If the location is not protected from the wind, the pool can be protected by a wall or fence.

Thermal insulation

As important as the cover is for the water surface, so is the importance of thermal insulation for the pool structure - protection against heat loss. This is only true when both conditions are met. Otherwise, the pool body will retain heat, but it will evaporate through the water if there is no cover and vice versa.

As few obstacles as possible in the water's path

When the water circulates from the pool to the filter system and back, it must encounter as little resistance as possible. Therefore, the filter system must be as close to the pool as possible. When laying pipes, sharp corners should be avoided. Instead, bends should be made.
