General information

AFM is an activated glass filter media for swimming pools, which is produced from recycled clean glass. AFM can be used in all types of sand filters without the need for investment in additional equipment.

Scientific studies prove that AFM filter media doubles the efficiency of sand filters while significantly reducing operating costs.

One of the main differences between AFM and other types of filter media for swimming pools is the resistance of bacteria in favor of AFM. In contact with water, a small amount of free radicals (e.g., oxygen) are formed on the surface of the AFM granules. Thanks to their strong oxidizing properties, free radicals protect the AFM filter media from bacterial colonization and also completely prevent biofilm formation.

prevents the formation of chloramines, which cause an unpleasant chlorine smell around the pool
