PVC foil has been used for over 20 years to line new and repair old pools. In Western Europe, this is the most common method of lining swimming pools. It can be said that this is the technology that is the basis of modern pool construction.
As a company for the construction of swimming pools, in our long practice we have been convinced of the advantages of PVC foil and therefore we offer only this type of pool lining.
PVC foil is the only solution for concrete pools with hidden leaks.
We have had cases with clients who have been refused by several companies to repair a leak in a concrete pool. After installing PVC foil, the problem is solved forever.
In the photos you can see an old concrete pool, more than 30 years old. The hotel complex, which owns this swimming pool, asked us to "revive" it again so that it could be used by the guests of the complex. After the clients were convinced of the advantages of PVC membrane, our trained team lined the pool with reinforced PVC foil, which is glued on site.
Another similar case we had with the owners of a private pool in Troyan. They had an old concrete pool in their property, which was cracked and it was not known where the water was coming from. After our inspection, they accepted our proposal to line it with reinforced PVC foil, because they wanted to make the pool in their yard usable again. For the second year in a row, the pool has delighted its owners and especially their children.
In addition to repairing existing pools, PVC foil can also be used in the construction of new pools. In the photo gallery you can see a concrete pool measuring 12.00 x 3.00 m with a relaxation area. The owner of the pool wanted to use it mainly for swimming. The pool is lined with reinforced PVC - foil, which is glued on site.
One of the most important advantages of PVC foil are the following:
There are two types of foil for swimming pools - pre-cut foil (liner) with a thickness of 0.60 mm or 0.80 mm and reinforced foil with a thickness of 1.5 mm.
The liner is produced in pre-set dimensions and is mostly installed on prefabricated pools with steel walls. It is recommended that its thickness be at least 0.60 mm. A liner thinner than 0.60 mm would have a much shorter life.
Another feature of the pre-cut foil is that it can be installed only on pools of ordinary shape, which do not have internal steps. The liner is also suitable for lining concrete pools. The only condition here is that the pool has no molded internal steps. If there are internal steps, then only reinforced foil can be installed.
With proper operation, a quality 0.60 mm thick liner would last ten years or more before having to be replaced with a new one.
Reinforced foil can be used to line pools of all sizes and shapes. This is because it is glued on site by trained professionals. Also, the reinforced foil is suitable for lining both private and public pools, because it offers a very good price / quality ratio.
As for the reinforced foil, with proper operation, it could last at least twenty years. The variety of colors of PVC membrane would satisfy every taste. In addition to one-color and multi-color options, we can line your pool with pearl shades. And if you want the water to look tropical, such as the one in Fiji or Aruba, we have a special foil that is the same color as the sand on these islands. The surface of the foil itself is slightly rugged, creating the feeling that you really walk on sand.
This version of reinforced PVC foil can be very successfully applied to "beach" type pools, where one part of the pool is very shallow and gradually increases the depth.
As with any product, imitations of PVC foil have appeared, which deceive with low prices. Therefore, before you trust a company or choose foil for the pool by yourself, look very well into possible options and prices. Don't be fooled by low prices, because later you will get the quality you paid for.
