Styropool pools, as their name implies, are built from styrofoam blocks that are installed on a concrete base. Styrofoam panels consist of pressed high-quality styrofoam (density 30 - 40 kg/m2).

The history of Styropool pools began in 1999 in Germany, where the need for a system for the construction of private pools appeared, which did not have strictly limited shapes and sizes like the then prevailing pools with metal walls. The idea of styrofoam block pools is borrowed from the same system used to build houses.

The construction of a Styropool pool takes place in several stages. First, an excavation is made, which should be about 1 m larger than the size of the pool. Then a reinforced concrete foundation is cast. In the next stage, the styrofoam panels are installed, and the fittings in the walls are placed in parallel with this. Also, the embedded parts (skimmers, nozzles, floodlights) are installed, after which they are concreted. Finally, the inner lining made of PVC foil is installed.

Another advantage of lining with PVC foil is that years later you can change the appearance of your pool with another color of foil, without the need for expensive and major repairs to the pool.
